Once again Israel is looking to idols and darkness instead of the Lord.

Israel lived in peace for a time, worshiping God for his rescue of their lives.

All of Israel mourned the loss of the Ark as it was dragged to the city of Ashdod.

As Israel was worshiping God, the Philistines launched an attack against them

Israel demanded a King, and God gave them Saul, a man from the tribe of Benjamin.

All was well in Jabesh-Gilead, until the Ammonites raided them.

While Samuel was aging and retiring from his role as judge, Saul gained favor with the people with every battle won.

Jonathan trusted God, and God used Jonathan and his servant to conquer the entire camp

God gave a message to Samuel to deliver to Saul that he was to destroy the Amalekites.

Saul was tossing and turning, growing increasingly disturbed in his spirit.

Israel and the Philistines were hard at war, camped with just a valley between them.

David’s victory over Goliath brought him into the house of Saul.

Saul’s plotting against David has not stopped, and Jonathan quickly learns of the plan

David was afraid to enter the city lest Saul finds him and makes another attempt on his life

David made his way to Nob, the city of priests.

God had placed an opportunity for revenge in front of David, but David chose to spare his life.
